InGenesis acquires Kelly Healthcare Resources

InGenesis Inc., a San Antonio-based healthcare staffing firm, acquired Kelly Healthcare Resources, the healthcare specialty business of Kelly Services (NASD: KELYA).

“We are thrilled with this acquisition as it blends the storied tenure of Kelly’s healthcare business with our focused innovation,” InGenesis CEO Veronica Muzquiz Edwards said.

The transaction will be completed in February, and the company anticipates uninterrupted delivery of services. Terms of the deal were not announced.

“This deal provides a win for both InGenesis and Kelly Services,” said John Drew, VP and managing director, Kelly Services. “InGenesis has been a partner for many years and has a well-earned reputation for creating and providing excellent service to clients. Their expertise in the field of healthcare will allow this segment to flourish, as well as provide unsurpassed solutions to this customer base.”

Infrastructure for the healthcare specialty business division will all transition to InGenesis, including the leadership team.

With $140 million in estimated 2016 US staffing revenue, InGenesis ranks 20th on Staffing Industry Analysts list of Largest Healthcare Staffing Firms in the US. Its largest segments include per diem nurses and locum tenens.
