Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN) acquired Boston-based American Personnel Inc., effective Dec. 1. American Personnel, which operates as AP Staffing, provides a range of talent management solutions to healthcare clients, including permanent placement, consultative staffing solutions and traditional staffing. It operates primarily in Massachusetts.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The two executives who have been managing American Personnel will remain with the company.

“The addition of American Personnel will expand our presence in the Northeast and provide us with additional strong, experienced leaders to provide greater value in the healthcare industry,” said Cross Country President and CEO William Grubbs.

Cross Country ranks third on SIA’s 2018 list of largest healthcare staffing firms in the US.
