World – Tech roundup: AI product will write job ads; searches for AI-related services soar 1,400%

01 February 2023

A new AI tool that will generate job ads automatically is described as being one of the first on the market. Separately, one talent platform reports search for AI-related services have soared.

Hiremii Ltd.

Hiremii Ltd. (HMI:ASX), a Perth, Australia-based firm, announced an artificial intelligence-powered tool to automate the writing of job ads. The tool uses OpenAI’s GPT-3 artificial intelligence to write the ads. Hiremii describes the product as one of the first automated job ad writing tools on the global market.

OpenAI is also the maker of ChatGPT, which has been gathering headlines. See here for the difference between GPT-3 and ChatGPT.

“Buoyed by the continued global interest and growth of GPT-3, we gained successful approval with OpenAI and completed integration of the GPT-3 API with our AdWriter product,” Hiremii Managing Director Andrew Horny said. “Adwriter enables users in any location and any industry to draft a job advert to 80% to 90% accuracy in under two minutes, reducing administration time by over 75% while improving the quality of ads.”

Hiremii described the tool during an earnings announcement on 30 January.

Meanwhile, OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been the focus of public interest. ChatGPT is described as an AI tool that enables users to ask questions in everyday language, and the AI will generate a response that appears as if a human wrote it. The AI can not only respond to queries but also produce poems, compose college essays, write code and more.

Fiverr International Ltd.

Talent platform provider Fiverr International Ltd. reported that searches for AI-related services on its platform have risen 1,400% in the last six months.

“We are living in an era with so much progress and velocity in technology that is creating a raft of new opportunities,” said Fiverr founder and CEO Micha Kaufman. “We have seen an influx of services leveraging new AI tools that advance what artists, writers and programmers can create and sell.”

Amid the demand, Fiverr said it introduced new AI categories and skills to its catalog.
