US – Kelly: 62% of U.S. Workers to Seek New Jobs

More than half of U.S. workers, 62 percent, plan to look for a new job in the next year, according to the annual global workforce survey by Kelly Services Inc. (NASD: KELYA). Among Gen Y workers, ages 19 to 30, the percentage is 66 percent compared to 62 percent for other age categories.

Globally, 66 percent of workers plan to seek new jobs in the next two years, according to the Kelly survey.

In the U.S., 36 percent of workers said they use social media networks when making career or employment decisions. That compares to 41 percent of workers on a global basis. In the Asia-Pacific region, 58 percent use social networks when making career or employment decisions.

The Kelly global workforce index is an annual survey conducted by Kelly Services. Nearly 170,000 people in 30 countries participated in the current survey, including more than 31,000 in the U.S.
