Taiwan – 104 Corp reports growth in second quarter revenue and profits

Job board 104 Corp (3130: TAI) reported operating revenue last week of TWD 456.9 million (USD 16.3 million) for the second quarter ended 30 June 2021, an increase of 17.1% when compared to the previous year.

The group also announced that its total accumulated operating revenue for the first half of 2021 amounted to TWD 895 million (USD 31.8 million), up 13.71% compared to the corresponding period in the preceding year. The accumulated operating income and the accumulated pre-tax income were TWD 209 million (USD 7.4 million) and TWD 215 million (USD 7.6 million), increased by 69.9% and 62.5% on a year-over-year basis, respectively.

The continuous growth of job board listing customers contributed to the year-on-year increase of the operating revenue for the second quarter.

Affected by the level 3 pandemic alert in mid-May, the number of listing customers slid but has re-bounced slightly since late June, the group added.

104 Corporation operates www.104.com.tw, providing online recruitment advertisements, online business advertisements, senior executives hunting services, human resource management software, human resource transfer services, science and technology job bank services, job mapping services, recruitment platform consulting services, education and learning services, as well as tutoring and outsourcing services and other value-added services, amongst other online recruitment services. It operates its business principally in Taiwan.

Shares in 104 Corp closed on Thursday at TWD 167.50 (USD 5.97), up 0.3% on the day. The company has a market cap of TWD 5.64 billion (USD 200.94 million).
