Online recruitment in Singapore registered a 12% increase in hiring activity in June 2022 when compared to June 2021, according to the Monster Employment Index.

The Monster Employment Index moved to 149 in June 2022 from 133 in June 2021.

Over the previous month, the Index reported a marginal growth of 1%.

According to Monster, 6 of the 14 industry sectors monitored by the Index registered expansion in online recruitment activity between June 2021 and June 2022.

Education (20%) exhibited the highest annual growth among sectors owing to growing demand in Education technology in June 2022.

Consumer Goods/FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) (-16%) continued to witness the greatest plunge in online hiring, fairing the worst among the monitored industries.

Online demand for professionals remained positive yet another month in all of the 12 functions monitored by the Index.

Finance & Accounts (+23%) professionals continued to mark robust growth annually in terms of hiring demand in June 2022.

Year-on-Year the pace for online demand eased for Real Estate (+2%), Healthcare (+4%) and Customer Service (+5%) roles.
