Singapore – Most companies to raise wages between 2.1% to 4% (Jiji Press)

More than half of companies in Singapore will see employers raise salaries from 2.1% to 4% in 2023, reports Jiji Press, citing survey data from recruitment firm JAC Singapore. The survey was conducted from 17 October to 7 November. Responses from 143 companies were aggregated. The majority of responding companies were Japanese (94.4%), followed by local (3.5%) and foreign (2.1%). The most common salary increases were 2.1%-3% for managers and above, and 3.1%-4% for staff. As in the previous year, the wage increase rate for staff positions exceeded that of managers. Meanwhile, 12.2% of companies replied that they would not offer a pay raise.
