People – Recruit Holdings, Wipro Ltd.

Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd., one of the world’s largest staffing firms, announced that Keiko Honda has been appointed to its board as outside director for the upcoming fiscal year. Honda had served as CEO of the World Bank Group’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency. She is also an adjunct professor and adjunct senior research scholar at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. In addition, Recruit announced Takashi Nishimura is joining its board as an audit and supervisory board member. Nishimura started with Recruit in 1997. Honda and Nishimura’s appointments are subject to approval by shareholders at the Tokyo-based company’s annual meeting in June. In addition, Akihito Fujiwara, who currently serves as an audit and supervisory board member, will retire at the annual general meeting of shareholders.

IT services giant Wipro Ltd. named Jasjit Singh Kang as its head of digital operations and platforms of the company’s integrated cloud infrastructure, digital operations, risk and enterprise cyber security services business. Kang joined Wipro in 2018 with the acquisition of Alight. Prior to Wipro, Kang’s previous experience include seven years in the banking industry at Citibank, Bank of America and ANZ Grindlays.
