Nisso Corp Q1 revenue ticks up 15.4% while profits rally

Nisso Corporation (6569: TYO), a Japanese human resources firm providing staffing services, reported revenue today of JPY 23.66 billion (USD 166.2 million) for the first quarter ended 30 June 2023, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period last year.

Nisso operates in two segments: human resources and other business. The integrated talent service business operates a manufacturing talent service, such as manufacturing dispatching and manufacturing contracting, as well as an administrative talent service including general office dispatching and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). The Other business segment operates nursing care and welfare projects, such as facility nursing care and home care.

The company noted that revenue increased 8.2% year on year in the manufacturing production personnel service segment.

In the engineering human resources services, revenue increased 19.8% year on year.

Revenue rose by 3.8% in the nursing care and welfare services segment.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 100.0 billion (USD 702.37 million) for the year ended 31 March 2024.

Nisso Corp shares closed at JPY 850.00 (USD 5.97), up 1.55% on the day and 11.18% below its 52-week high of JPY 957.00 (USD 6.72), set on 23 June 2023. The company has a market cap of JPY 28.75 billion (USD 201.92 million).
