Nisso Corp. (6569:TYO), a Japan-based staffing firm, reported revenue for the first nine months of fiscal 2023 of JPY 72.53 billion (USD 487.8 million), which ended 31 December 2023.
The group did not publish prior year results for comparison. However, results for last year’s nine-month period, which can be found here, showed revenue of JPY 67.20 billion (451.9 million), an increase of 7.9%.

Operating profit for the nine-month period when compared to the previous year period increased by 46.5% while gross profit climbed by 11.4%. Net profit increased by 48.9% over the prior year.
Revenue in the General Human Resources Services during the period was up 8.2% year-on-year. Revenue in the Nursing Care/Welfare Service was up 1.0% year-on-year.
Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 97.00 billion (USD 652.36 million) for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Last month, Nisso Corporation announced it is investing in battery manufacturer APB Co., Ltd., also based in Japan.
Nisso Holdings shares closed at JPY 845.00 (USD 5.68), down 2.99% on the day and 11.70% below its 52-week high of JPY 957.00 (USD 6.44), set on 23 June 2023. The company has a market cap of JPY 29.64 billion (USD 199.34 million).
