Robert Walters, a UK-based global staffing firm, appointed Kimberlyn Lu as CEO for South East Asia. Lu previously was managing director of Robert Walters Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. In the new role, Lu will have responsibility for Robert Walters’ markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“With over 15 years of experience in the company, I believe it is more important now than ever to actively listen to the stories and ambitions of professionals and organisations and provide specialist recruitment services based on relationship building, deep market knowledge and expertise,” Lu said in a statement.

Lu joined Robert Half in 2008 as a consultant for the company’s sales and marketing division in Malaysia. She was eventually appointed country manager for Malaysia in 2017.

The company noted that 57% of its leadership team is now female.
