The Association of Temporary Employment Agencies (ABU) has elected Patrick Bakker, CEO Adecco Group Netherlands, as a new board director. Bakker commented "ABU is hugely important for the staffing industry and we have very relevant issues on the table to discuss and resolve. The importance of flexibility in the labour market is increasing and I am pleased to be able to make a contribution."

The board of directors now consists of Leo Houwen of USG People, Sieto de Leeuw of Randstad Group Netherlands, Hans Leentjes of ManpowerGroup and Patrick Bakker of Adecco.

Smaller and medium-sized agencies are equally represented on the board via Tom Sijpestijn of Werk! Personnel Services, Dennis Mortier of Consolid and Corno Stam of Tènce!.

The board is chaired by Hans Kamps of ABU.
