Media Five full year revenue falls 2.9% but forecasts revenue increase for FY24

Media Five Co. (3824: JP), a provider of IT solutions and training based in Fukuoka, Japan, today reported revenue of JPY 1.74 billion (USD 12.6 million) for the full year ended 31 May 2023, down 2.9% when compared to the same period a year ago.

Media Five operates two primary business segments: Business-to-Business, which includes the company’s staffing operations; and Business-to-Consumer, which involves software and project development. In addition to those businesses, Media Five also operates a construction business.

In the SES business, which is the group’s main business, against the backdrop of the increasing demand for IT engineers, the group acquired new customers and has been negotiating contract unit prices with existing business partners. Within the business, the company focuses on developing advanced IT human resources and improving technical capabilities. Revenue fell by 1.59% over the year.

Revenue in the Solutions business showed an increase while the construction business reported a decrease.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 1.84 billion (USD 13.3 million) for the year ended 31 May 2024.

Media Five shares closed today at JPY 660.00 (USD 4.77), down 1.35% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 620.40 million (USD 4.47 million).
