Media Five (3824: JP), a staffing firm in Japan that provides engineers to the IT industry, reported revenue yesterday for the six months ended 30 November 2023 of JPY 938 million (USD 6.4 million), up 6.9% compared to last year.

Media Five operates two primary business segments: Business-to-Business, which includes the company’s staffing operations; and Business-to-Consumer, which involves software and project development. In addition to those businesses, Media Five also operates a construction business.
Revenue in the SES business declined over the previous year while revenue in the solution business reported an increase. Revenue also fell year-on-year in the construction business.
Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 1.84 billion (USD 12.6 million) for the year ended 31 May 2024.
Shares in Media Five closed yesterday at JPY 600.00 (USD 4.13), no change on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 573.40 million (USD 3.95 million).
