Malaysia’s Social Security Organisation has paid over MYR 11.19 million (USD 2.6 million) in compensation to employees infected with Covid-19 at workplaces, reports Malay Mail. The payments involved 15,036 cases, as of 18 September. Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Awang Hashim said that of the total, more than MYR 10 million (USD 2.38 million) was paid to local workers involving 13,170 cases, while over MYR 1 million (USD 238,777) was paid to foreign workers comprising 1,866 cases.
