Outsourcing services company World Holdings Co. Ltd. (2429:TYO) last month announced its subsidiaries JW Solutions Co. Ltd. and JTB Okinawa Corp. are conducting a matching program in Okinawa Prefecture to match employees who were furloughed because of Covid-19 with open positions at other firms. The program is part of the Industry Employment Stabilization Subsidy system.

Individuals taking part in the programme will retain their status of employees at their original employers.

Right now, plans call for employees of JTB Ryokan and Hotel Federation as well as the JTB Lequios Association to be assigned jobs at Okinawa Cellular and other companies.

“The mission of the World Holdings Group is creating the ‘ways we live.’ Group companies create places that enable large numbers of people to perform jobs that contribute to fulfilling lives,” according to World Holdings. “The prolonged Covid-19 crisis is having a severe impact on the economy of Okinawa, particularly the tourism industry.”
