Japanese HR firm Will Group (6089:TYO), which focuses on temporary staffing, business contracting and recruitment, reported revenue of JPY 58.17 billion (USD 561.8 million) for the six months ended 30 September 2020, a decrease of 4.2% when compared to the same period last year.

Will Group is engaged in the human resource business focusing on temporary staffing, business contracting and recruitment. The group operates in seven segments: Sales Outsourcing, Call Centre Outsourcing, Factory Outsourcing, Nursing Care Domain Support, Overseas HR, Others (Japan) and the recently added segment the Start-up Human Resources Support Business.
The company said that the coronavirus pandemic had an impact on its Sales Outsourcing and Factory Outsourcing businesses. Will Group said it had worked to secure profits by reviewing new investment plans and head office costs.
Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue of JPY 116 billion (USD 1.12 billion) for the year ended March 2021.
According to SIA’s Largest Staffing Firms in Japan report, Will Group was the 7th largest staffing firm in Japan based on revenue.
Shares in Will Group closed at JPY 830.00 (USD 8.02), down 2.12% on the day and 83.63% above the 52 week low of JPY 452.00 (USD 4.36) set on 6 April 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 17.72 billion (USD 171.1 million).
