Japan – TechnoPro Holdings reports slight revenue increase in first quarter

TechnoPro Holdings, Inc, (6028:TYO) a Japan-based technology-focused staffing and services company, reported revenue today of JPY 39.2 billion (USD 375.4 million) for the first quarter ended 30 September 2020, an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous year.

TechnoPro is an engineering staffing company and offers services and solutions in mechanical and electronic design, IT and software development, and wide range of technological fields through outsourcing. The company also has a presence in biological, chemical and construction management businesses.

The group reported an increase in its R&D Outsourcing segment (1.4%) and Construction Management Outsourcing (3.1%) segment. Other Businesses in Japan was down 14.4%. Overall revenue in the group’s Japan operations was up 1.2%.

TechnoPro’s overseas business segment fell by 6.6%.

The company forecasted revenue for the second quarter ended December 2020 of JPY 77.5 billion (USD 742.3 million). However, the company did not provide a full year forecast.

According to SIA’s Largest Staffing Firms in Japan report, TechnoPro was the 6th largest staffing firm in Japan based on revenue.

Shares in TechnoPro Holdings closed at JPY 6,470.00 (USD 61.97), down 3% on the day and 21.00% below its 52-week high of JPY 8,190.00 (USD 78.45), set on 13 February 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 241.06 billion (USD 2.30 billion).
