Human Resocia Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based staffing firm that is a part of Human Holdings Co. Ltd. (2415:TYO), reported salaries for IT engineers in Japan rank 20th in the world; IT engineers in Switzerland receive the highest pay.
For the report, the company looked at the salaries of IT engineers for 98 countries using data from the International Labour Organization. It released its research on Wednesday.
Swiss IT engineers have a salary of USD 100,053. The US had the second-highest paid IT engineers at USD 89,161 and Israel ranked third at USD 85,131.
Japanese IT engineers’ salary was USD 38,337. The Japanese salaries were impacted by the recent depreciation of the yen compared to the dollar; however, there are concerns about the low salary level of IT engineers in Japan compared to the rest of the world, Human Resocia reported.
