Japanese temporary staffing firm PA Co (4766: JP) reported revenue yesterday for the six months ended 30 September 2022 of JPY 1.25 billion (USD 8.9 million), up 7.3% compared to the same period last year.

PA Co operates Information Services and Temporary Staffing Services. The information services segment publishes free job information magazines and sales promotion information publications; offers sales promotion tools through mobiles, and operates recruitment websites for full-time employers focusing on mobile sites. The group also operates a nursery business.
The group’s information service business increased by 8.8% over the year.
Revenue in the temporary staffing services business fell by 8.2% over the year. The company said recruitment demand, which had been affected by the pandemic, is gradually recovering.
Revenue in the childcare business increased by 11%. The regional revitalisation business increased by 36.7%.
Looking ahead the group forecasted revenue of JPY 1.80 billion (USD 12.9 million) for the year ended 31 December 2023.
PA Co shares closed yesterday at JPY 167.00 (USD 1.20), up 1.2% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 1.89 billion (USD 13.57 million).
