Japanese temporary staffing firm PA Co (4766: JP) reported revenue for the six months ended 30 June 2021 of JPY 766 million (USD 7.0 million), down 7.3% compared to the same period last year. 

PA Co operates Information Services and Temporary Staffing Services. The Information Services segment publishes free job information magazines and sales promotion information publications; offers sales promotion tools through mobiles, and operates recruitment websites for full-time employers focusing on mobile sites. The group also operates a nursery business.

Revenue in the group’s dispatch (temporary staffing) business increased by 15.8% compared to the same period last year.

The group’s Information service business saw revenue slip by 14.5%. At the same time, the childcare business saw revenue dip by 11% while the regional revitalization revenue was up 21.6%.  The group’s other business was up 35%.

PA Co did not provide a financial forecast.

Shares in PA Co closed at JPY 202.00 (USD 1.85), up 2.54% on the day and 29.49% above the 52 week low of JPY 156.00 (USD 1.43) set on 28 August 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 2.21 billion (USD 20.2 million).
