Outsourcing Inc. (2427:TYO), which ranks as the third-largest staffing firm in Japan, announced plans this week to acquire Marks Co. Ltd., a staffing firm based in Nishiwaki, Japan, serving the Hyogo prefecture.

Marks provides staffing in manufacturing as well as logistics and medical/nursing care. The company operates mainly in the Hyogo prefecture but was looking into entry into the Kobe and Osaka markets where client demand is strong, according to Outsourcing.

“By joining the group, Marks can be expected to further expand business scale by making full-scale entry into urban areas through leveraging the group’s management resources,” according to Outsourcing. In turn, Outsourcing will benefit from strengthening its presence in the Hyogo area and adding logistics and medical-related clients.

Marks was established in November 2004 and has shared capital of JPY 10 million (USD 96,606).

Outsourcing noted the acquisition will have a negligible impact on financial results.
