More than half, or 60%, of part-time workers in Japan said they were satisfied with their part-time jobs, according to a survey from staffing firm En-Japan.
The biggest reason for satisfaction is due to their work location (58%) however for those who said they were not satisfied, the biggest reason for this dissatisfaction (57%) is "the amount of salary such as hourly wage".
Rounding out the top three reasons for part-time job satisfaction include commuting time (46%), and salary amount such as hourly wage (38%). For job dissatisfaction, the other two reasons were working hours (27%) and work environment (23%).
Meanwhile, the top reason for wanting a part-time job is because they can work at their own convenient time (71%). This was followed by ‘I want to work immediately’ (25%) and ‘I have a main job’ (24%).
