Japanese staffing firm JAC Recruitment announced that it has appointed Hiromi Tazaki to serve as Chairman and managing director with effect from 1 January 2022.

Tazaki is the co-founder of JAC Recruitment which was established in London in 1975 as part of the Tazaki Group companies. The business expanded to South and East Asia including Japan which is now recognised as the headquarters of the JAC Group companies. Her first role in the business was as managing director of JAC UK and thereafter she moved on to lead the Group as the Group Chairman and CEO.

Tazaki is currently directing JAC Recruitment’s focus toward diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives which entails creating workplace environments that serve to empower the company’s diverse workforce.

“Over its more than four decades in business, JAC Recruitment has achieved growth to the extent that it now operates 24 offices in 11 countries worldwide,” Tazaki said. “We have been persistently contributing to the development of both enterprises and professionals since our beginnings in London engaging in the personnel placement business with the aim of helping Japanese enterprises entering the British market expand their operations. Tazaki takes over the role from Takeshi Matsuzono who serves as a director of the company. In that capacity, Matsuzono will contribute to promoting operations particularly in terms of recruiting and training JAC Recruitment’s executive talent while also helping to further shape the company’s corporate culture.

JAC Recruitment reported revenue for the nine months ended 30 September 2021 of JPY 18.56 billion (USD 162.9 million), an increase of 9.3% compared to last year.
