Japan – Human Holdings revenue dips slightly

Human Holdings Co. Ltd. (2415:JP), a provider of human resource and employment services in Japan, reported revenue today of JPY 42.00 billion (USD 400.1 million) for the six months ended 30 September 2020, a decrease of 1.4% when compared to the previous year.

Human Holdings said its results were negatively impacted by the pandemic.

The company primarily engages in human resources business and education. The Human Resources segment provides staffing, placement and recruiting, and outsourcing services. The Education segment is involved in continuing education and full-time education services. The company also engages in several other services such as nursing care, nail salons and sports and entertainment.

The Human Resources segment reported growth during the period while reporting reduced costs. However, the Education segment reported a decline. The Long-Term Care segment reported a slight increase in revenue while the Others segment reported a decline in revenue.

According to SIA’s Largest Staffing Firms in Japan report, Human Holdings was the 13th largest staffing firm in Japan based on revenue.

Human Holdings forecasted revenue of JPY 85.81 billion (USD 817.52 million) for the year ended March 2021.

Shares in Human Holdings closed at JPY 759.00 (USD 7.23), down 1.04% on the day and 31.31% above the 52-week low of JPY 578.00 (USD 5.51) set on 13 March 2020. The company has a market cap of JPY 7.59 billion (USD 72.31 million).
