Japan – Hito Communications Q1 revenue rises 13.9%, profits show improvement

Japanese human resources provider Hito Communications (4433: JP) reported revenue for the full year ending 31 August 2020 of JPY 71.49 billion (USD 677.5 million).

Hito offers temporary staffing, business recruitment and outsourcing, business sales promotion, outsourced sales support, and employee training outsourcing services, as well as recruitment services for individual users in distribution and service sectors. The company ranks as the 16th largest staffing firm in Japan, according to SIA’s Largest Staffing Firms in Japan and Market Overview report.

The group’s temporary staffing business saw a decrease of 26.2% while its outsourcing business was down 1.4%. However, the group reported strong sales growth in other segments such as the wholesale business which is up 52.6% and sales support which increased by 41.1%.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 73 billion (USD 691.80 million) for the year ended 31 August 2021.

Shares in Hito Communications closed today at JPY 1,360.00 (12.89), no change on the day and 25.89% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,835.00 (USD 17.39), set on 11 October 2019. The company has a market cap of JPY 24.34 billion (USD 230.67 million).
