Geechs Inc. (7060:TYO), a Tokyo-based firm that provides IT staffing, earlier this month announced it plans to acquire a 70% stake in Launch Group Holdings Pty. Ltd., a provider of IT staffing based in Sydney, Australia. Launch will become a subsidiary of Geechs.

Plans call for Geechs to pay AUD 18.9 million (USD 12.7 million) for the stake with the share acquisition scheduled for January.

Launch Group Holdings was founded in 2006 and its customers include Toyota, Amazon and the Australian government.

In addition to IT staffing, Geechs provides IT training, services to the smartphone gaming industry and operates Gridge, a specialized golf information site.
