Japan – Dip Corp third quarter revenue rises 23.4%

Japanese staffing firm and job board Dip Corp. (2379: JP) reported revenue for the third quarter ended 30 November 2022 of JPY 12.89 billion (USD 98.6 million), up 23.4% over the year.

The group said it adopted new accounting standards on the recording of sales from Q1 2022.

The group said it saw high growth in the Digital Transformation business and steady sales expansion in its human resource services business.

For the nine-month period the group reported revenue of JPY 36.71 billion (USD 280.8 million), up 30.8% compared to the same period a year ago.

The company is primarily involved in the provision of job information and employment agency business through the internet.

Looking ahead the company forecasted revenue between JPY 49.40 billion to 51.50 billion (USD 377.8 million to 393.9 million) for the year ended 28 February 2023. Operating income is expected to be between JPY 10.40 billion to 12.60 billion (USD 79.5 million to 96.3 million and net income between JPY 6.80 billion to 8.40 billion (USD 52.0 million to 64.2 million).

Dip Corp shares closed at JPY 3,675.00 (USD 28.11), down 0.41% on the day and 16.29% below its 52-week high of JPY 4,390.00 (USD 33.57), set on 2 November 2022. The company has a market cap of JPY 221.92 billion (USD 1.69 billion).
