Japan – Dip Corp H1 revenue climbs 35.2% as profits rally amid recovery in recruiting and digital transformation businesses

Japanese staffing firm and job board Dip Corp. (2379: JP) reported revenue today for the first six months ended 31 August 2022 of JPY 23.82 billion (USD 162.3 million), an increase of 35.2% compared to the same period last year.

The group said revenue growth was due to the steady recovery of the personnel recruiting services business and the high growth of the Digital Transformation business.

During the period, revenue in the personnel recruiting services business recovered to pre-pandemic levels. The part-time and temporary job information media markets have not recovered to such levels. Revenue grew by 30.5% over the year.

Revenue in the digital transformation business grew by 107.6% over the year. A reinforcement of the sales promotion system, among others, led to an increase in sales of the Interview Kobot, which automatically schedules interviews with job applicants, and HR Kobot, which supports dispatch companies’ sales activities with automated sales list creation services, as well as recurring products.

Looking ahead, the group forecasted revenue between JPY 49.40 billion (USD 336.5 million) to JPY 51.50 billion (USD 350.8 million) for the full year ended 28 February 2023.

Dip Corp shares closed at JPY 3,670.00 (USD 25.00), down 6.38% on the day and 27.70% above the 52-week low of JPY 2,874.00 (USD 19.58) set on 7 March 2022. The company has a market cap of JPY 225.83 billion (USD 1.54 billion).
