Japanese staffing firm Creek & River (4763: JP) reported revenue yesterday for the first quarter ended 31 May 2021 of JPY 10.59 billion (USD 96.3 million), an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period last year.

Creek & River, founded in 1990, provides business agency, production, outsourcing, and consultation services in Japan, China, and Korea. It offers temporary staffing and employment placement services for the creative sector, mainly for film/TV, game programming, and advertising industries. The company also provides medical staffing services.
The group said it took measures to minimise the impact of the pandemic on its business.
Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 40 billion (USD 363.5 million) for the year ended 28 February 2022.
Shares in Creek and River closed yesterday at JPY 1,561 (USD 14.19), up 1.1% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 37.73 billion (USD 342.9 million).
