Japan – Copro Holdings to acquire Hucoss’ temporary staffing business

01 March 2022

Copro Holdings, a Japan-based holding company which owns a number of businesses including a temporary staffing firm, announced that it will acquire the temporary staffing and employment dispatch business of Tokyo-based Hucoss.

The acquisition will be made through Copro’s subsidiary Copro-Engineerd, the core company of the group which is engaged in the temporary staffing and employment dispatch business of workers mainly in the construction industry.

Copro Engineerd will assume Hucoss’s temporary staffing and employment dispatch business through an absorption-type company split on 1 April 2022.

The group said it plans to use cash on hand to allocate the amount for the transaction. The price was not disclosed.

The company said the deal will strengthen its foundation centering on the construction and plant engineer dispatch business, which is the core business of the group.

“Copro Engineerd will be able to accept many highly skilled engineers and qualified engineers by inheriting the worker dispatch and employment dispatch business operated by Hucoss, thereby responding more precisely and speedily to the needs of customers,” the company stated.
