Japan – Benext-Yumeshin Group revenue climbs on back of merger and overseas growth

Japanese staffing firm Benext-Yumeshin Group (2154: JP), reported revenue today of JPY 118.74  billion (USD 920.0 million), an increase of 99.7% when compared to the prior year.

Benext first announced its merger with Yumeshin Holdings in 2021. BeNext and Yumeshin are the 17th and 19th  largest staffing firms in Japan according to SIA, respectively.

This increase in revenue is largely attributable to the addition of the earnings of former Yumeshin Holdings Co., Ltd. to the Machinery, Electronics and IT Software Segment and the Construction Segment as a result of management integration in 2021. Revenue also increased due to the end to the impact of Covid-19 in the Overseas Segment chiefly in the UK, and the recording of earnings for 12 months associated with the change in the fiscal year end. Management integration and higher revenue also strengthened profits.

The Machinery, Electronics and IT Software Segment is comprised of temporary staffing, contracting and consigning business for the development, design, operation and maintenance sectors of the IT software, machinery and electronics domain. Revenue in this segment was up 60.0% over the year.

Revenue in Manufacturing increased by 12.5% while revenue in the Overseas segment increased by 50.1%.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 154.0 billion (USD 1.19 billion) for the full year ended 30 June 2022.

Shares in BeNext-Yumeshin closed at JPY 1,375.00 (USD 10.65), up 3.85% on the day and 25.80% above the 52 week low of JPY 1,093.00 (USD 8.47) set on 20 August 2021. The company has a market cap of JPY 122.87 billion (USD 952.04 million).
