Japan – Artner revenue rises 14.9% as demand for dispatched engineers recovers

Japanese recruitment firm Artner (2163: JP) reported revenue last week for the nine months ended 31 October 2022 of JPY 6.89 billion (USD 50.2 million), an increase of 14.9% when compared to the same period last year.

Artner provides employment recruitment services across Japan, offering permanent, temporary, and contract staffing services. Artner is also involved in the provision of mechanical design, electrical and electronic design, software, and chemical and bio-based research and development services.

The group said demand for dispatched engineers recovered during the period. It added that the assignment of new graduate engineers who joined the company in 2022 progressed ahead of schedule.

Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 8.79 billion (USD 64.1 million) for the year 31 January 2023.

Artner Co shares closed at JPY 1,048.00 (USD 7.64), down 0.85% on the day and 3.32% below its 52-week high of JPY 1,084.00 (USD 7.91), set on 1 December 2022. The company has a market cap of JPY 11.23 billion (USD 81.92 million).
