Japanese recruitment firm Artner Co Ltd (2163: JP) reported revenue today for the first quarter ended 30 April 2022 of JPY 2.23 billion (USD 16.6 million), an increase of 11.4% compared to last year.

Artner provides employment recruitment services across Japan offering permanent, temporary, and contract staffing services. In addition, Artner is also involved in the provision of mechanical design, electrical and electronic design, software, and chemical and bio-based research and development services.
The group said that in its engineer dispatch business, the unit price of engineers decreased slightly from the same period of the previous year by negotiating contracts with priority given to the assignment of unassigned engineers.
Looking ahead, the company forecasted revenue of JPY 8.79 billion (USD 65.57 million) for the full year ended 31 January 2023.
Shares in Artner Co Ltd closed at JPY 866.00 (USD 6.46), up 1.41% on the day and 7.77% below its 52-week high of JPY 939.00 (USD 7.00), set on 5 January 2022. The company has a market cap of JPY 9.08 billion (USD 67.73 million).
