Japan – Artner H1 revenue climbs 13.6% as profits improve

Japanese recruitment firm Artner (2163: JP) reported revenue today for the six months ended 31 July 2022 of JPY 4.52 billion (USD 31.4 million), an increase of 13.6% compared to the same period last year.

Artner provides employment recruitment services across Japan, offering permanent, temporary, and contract staffing services. Also, Artner is involved in the provision of mechanical design, electrical and electronic design, software, and chemical and bio-based research and development services.

During the H1 period, the group said demand for engineers has recovered as it reported an increase in the number of engineers.

Looking ahead Artner forecasted revenue of JPY 8.79 billion (USD 61.1 million) for the year ended January 2023.

Artner set a new 52-week high during today's trading session when it reached JPY 976.00 (USD 6.79). Over this period, the share price is up 9.04%. The company last traded at JPY 965.00 (USD 6.71), up 1.47% on the day. The company has a market cap of JPY 10.22 billion (USD 71.06 million).
