India – Quess Corp founder gives thoughts on the labour market (United News of India)

29 November 2022

Quess Corp founder and Non-Executive Chairman Ajit Isaac said that India is reasonably decoupled from the rest of the world in terms of recessionary possibility and it will continue to see growth in a few years if current trends are an indication to go by.

In an interview with United News of India, Isaac said that the tech and internet economy are likely to experience pain for another two quarters, however the tech sector will provide greater connectivity, digitisation and 5G services which will enable a greater volume of the workforce, especially women, to work from home and boost the economy.

Isaac also gave his thoughts on 'moonlighting’ by way of a second job outside of regular employment. "Moonlighting is not going away,” he said, “but the systems will become better and sharper in managing it. The desire of people to do more, work more and earn more cannot be suppressed. So, companies have to find a way to absorb this without finding that their own IP is being compromised or there is a breach of security”.
