The Indian cities of Chennai and Bengaluru will be among the top hiring destinations between 2022-2026 as the country’s engineering, telecom and healthcare industries add 12 million jobs in the next four years. These three segments currently employ 42 million people, reports The Times of India citing data from staffing firm TeamLease. Engineering, which employs 30 million people currently, will see the job count go up to 38 million by 2026. Telecom jobs will go increase to 6 million from 4 million, while healthcare will go up to 9.5 million from 7.5 million. TeamLease Digital AVP (engineering staffing & RPO solutions) Munira Loliwala said, "When it comes to professional staffing and highly skilled specialised roles in the engineering sector, the contribution of the south is larger. Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad have the maximum contribution in hiring engineering talent."
