China – Government allows Kanzhun to resume new user registrations after year-long cybersecurity probe (Reuters)

Kanzhun, whose core product is job board Boss Zhipin, announced that it would resume new user registration following a year-long cybersecurity review from China’s internet watchdog, the Cyberspace Administration of China, reports Reuters.The Chinese authorities launched a cybersecurity reviews into Kanzhun alongside Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Global and Full Truck Alliance in July last year, and ordered them to stop registering new users, citing national security and the public interest. Didi Global, which is delisting from New York, has not yet made a similar announcement to Kanzhun or Full Truck Alliance. Kanzhun and Full Truck Alliance did not comment further on the results of the cybersecurity investigation. Last week, Kanzhun reported revenue for the first quarter of 2022 stood at RMB 1.13 billion (USD 170.0 million), an increase of 44.3% from the same quarter of 2021.
