Australia – Recruitment firm Talentko sues former employees over move to rival recruitment firm (Business News)

10 March 2022

Australian recruitment firm Talentko launched a lawsuit against three former employees in a bid to stop them from taking clients and confidential information to rival Collar Talent Group, reports Business News (paywall). Talentko claims in its writ sent to the Supreme Court of Western Australia that the three employees signed contracts between September and December 2021 promising not to carry out, advise or provide services to any rival business. Talentko claims, in breach of the agreement, the trio has been providing services to Collar Talent Group, which has interfered with the business's activity and has disclosed the company's private information. The company is demanding the court issue an injunction preventing each of the three parties from working for Collar Talent Group, disclosing confidential information or interfering with its business for at least six months from the date they left the company. The group also wants damages for the alleged breaches of contract and the trio to cover the cost of the lawsuit. SIA reached out to Talentko and Collar Talent Group for comment. Talentko did not yet respond while Collar Talent Group said it was too early to provide a comment but would provide a response soon.
