Australia – Healthcare Australia acquires Employ-Ease

01 February 2017

Healthcare staffing and workforce solutions provider Healthcare Australia has acquired Employ-Ease, a privately owned Registered Training Organisation operating in Melbourne.

According to Healthcare Australia, the acquisition of Employ-Ease is a strategic move for Healthcare Australia to expand its training and education services and provide a holistic offering to both its clients and its contract workforce.

“The acquisition of a high performing Registered Training Organisation with quality processes, experienced staff and a track record of compliance is the perfect platform for expansion in the vocational training sector,” Healthcare Australia CEO Jason Cartwright, said. “This acquisition will allow Healthcare Australia to create efficiencies and synergies across the businesses; to become a true healthcare solutions provider.”

With the current healthcare workers’ shortage in the country, Cartwright foresees potential to expand Employ-Ease within Melbourne, across the state and interstate in the future.

“Australia is facing a desperate candidate shortage of workers in the Disability and Aged Care sectors – a reported 46,000 Carers by 2020. Training and developing the skills of our students and candidates will help us be better prepared to satisfy the growing demand from our clients,” Cartwright said. “The future shortage of workers will not be met by the current training structures in Australia. This is a ‘grow your own’ strategy to future proof our business and our clients against a dire shortage coming at us.”

“Employ-Ease is proud to now be part of the Healthcare Australia Group, and excited by the employment opportunities this will create for our students,” Employ-Ease Director Daryl Neilson said. “We have been looking for a Health Industry partner for some time and feel that Healthcare Australia’s commitment to quality outcomes and the long term future of our industry provides a perfect fit. Our staff will continue to provide outstanding training results and pathways to meaningful jobs for our students.”

Employ-Ease specialises in the delivery of vocational training programs in Aged Care, Disability Care and Training and Assessment; and will provide training to over 1,000 students a year.
