Asia Pacific – The Ability Center acquires two Malaysian HR companies

Japan-based privately-held temporary staffing firm The Ability Center announced that it has acquired two Malaysian HR companies CXL Solutions and CXL Executive.

The Ability Center acquired 100% shares of CXL Executive which is based in Kuala Lumpur and dispatches personnel to call centres and distribution warehouses. CXL Executive focuses on contract recruitment and temporary staffing. The company claims to “fill the gaps in our client's workforce to ensure optimum efficiency through automation and proper management of contract as well as temporary staffing.”

The Ability Center also acquired 100% of CXL Solutions, which offers payroll outsourcing to payroll and HR consultancy services.

Both firms were a part of the CareerXcell Group which is a fully owned subsidiary of The iA Group.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

According to NNA Japan (paywall), The Ability Center aims to grow by 10% or more every year by providing services rooted in the community and cultivating Japanese customers. This is the first overseas expansion and will be a stepping stone for expansion into Southeast Asia.

The Ability Center was established in 1986. Its business content includes temporary staffing, recruitment, training, outsourcing, and re-employment support. According to its site, the company had revenue of JPY 4.28 billion (USD 41.6 million). as of June 2020.
