Asia – Infocom invests in care job matching operator Homage

17 September 2020

Japan-based IT solutions provider Infocom announced that it made a strategic investment in Singaporean job-matching home healthcare services provider Homage.

The investment amount is undisclosed.

Homage, founded in 2016, operates in both Singapore and Malaysia with more than 3,000 curated Care and Medical Professionals across both markets, servicing both consumers and healthcare organisations.

The company’s platform matches care recipients and care providers including individuals and facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals in the rapidly growing care market in Southeast Asia.

Infocom said the investment also marks the start of a regional partnership in the long-term and senior care sector.

“Through the strategic alliance, Homage and Infocom aim to accelerate the long-term care business in Japan and Asia Pacific and provide the trusted support for rapidly growing senior care needs across the region,” Infocom stated.

“Infocom similarly looks to enable sustainable, accessible, and holistic long-term care support for the region’s rapidly growing elderly population, representing a strong shared vision with Homage of enabling holistic care, wellness and recovery through technology and improved accessibility,” the company stated.

According to NNA, Infocom will put emphasis on overseas operations in healthcare-related IT businesses under its three-year business plan through March 2023.

Infocom runs a staffing business, StaffPlus, for caregiving services in Japan and hopes to operate similar businesses in Southeast Asia.
