SIA Returns to Dallas with Back-to-Back Conferences

CWS Summit & Collaboration in the Gig Economy Bring Together the Workforces Solutions Ecosystem

Mountain View, California — June 27, 2018 — Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, returns to Dallas this October to host back-to-back conferences that delve into powerful new ways of sourcing, engaging and retaining talent and provide insights into the future of the workforce solutions ecosystem. The 13th annual CWS Summit North America takes place October 2nd & 3rd at the Omni Dallas Hotel, followed by SIA’s newest conference, the award-winning Collaboration in the Gig Economy, October 4th & 5th.

CWS Summit North America is the largest peer-to-peer networking event for contingent workforce professionals, featuring case studies and real-world solutions for the evolving challenges in managing today's workforce solutions program. This year’s Summit brings sports agent Molly Fletcher to the stage to share learnings on the recruitment, engagement and retention of top talent from the high stakes, competitive world of professional sports in a special keynote address Unleash Your Potential, Driving Change in Your CW Program. Other sessions in the spotlight at this year’s CWS Summit include the keynote CWS Talks: Experts Perspective – Time for Change, headlined by Bryan Peña, SVP Contingent Workforce Strategies at SIA, and an all-new CWS Hackathon, where teams of highly-experienced contingent workforce professionals address a set of actual contingent workforce challenges crowd-sourced in advance.

The 3rd annual Collaboration in the Gig Economy brings the future of work into sharp focus as the fastest-growing, leading-edge conference of its kind. Attendees connect with solutions, business models and world-renowned experts in a collaborative and innovative setting designed to enhance their ability to find, engage and optimize talent for this dynamic new world of work.

In the opening keynote to open the conference, SIA President Barry Asin looks at Collaboration in the Gig Economy: Evolution or Revolution? as he sheds light on the major factors driving change across the workforce solutions ecosystem. Theoretical neuroscientist, technologist, author and entrepreneur Dr. Vivienne Ming addresses How AI Will Put Humanity Back to Work in a keynote that explores how technology is changing faster than culture, with many of the jobs available today soon to be radically de-professionalized by automation and AI. Industry leaders take on The Future of the Gig Economy and the Talent Supply Chain as they share perspectives and discuss what the coming changes mean for staffing suppliers, enterprise buyers, online platforms and other ecosystem players in a keynote panel discussion that includes Teresa Carroll, EVP, Kelly Services; Stephane Kasriel, CEO, Upwork; Michael Kearns, VP, Enterprise, Toptal; Doug Leeby, CEO, Beeline; and Brandon Metcalf, SVP, Salesforce at Bullhorn.

The program also features latest research findings – including insights from SIA’s recent The Gig Economy & Human Cloud Landscape Update, the 2nd annual Gig Economy Shark Tank Technology Innovation Competition and thought leadership and data-driven content from across the world of work.

“We are excited to return to Dallas this year, with back-to-back conferences that bring together vast expertise and experience to help us address the advances and shifts that are redefining the way work is done around the world,” said Ursula Williams, Executive Vice President of SIA. “As work is no longer strictly defined as direct hire or contingent, all iterations of how, when and where people choose to work require new ways of managing talent programs and a new understanding of what it takes to successfully manage a flexible, on-demand workforce. This game-changing week will further that understanding significantly.”

All CWS Summit and Collaboration in the Gig Economy attendees are invited to gather at the Workforce Solutions Industry Party, Wednesday evening October 3rd. CCWP (Certified Contingent Workforce Professional) training will be offered onsite at Omni Dallas on October 4th & 5th.
