Help Legitimize Contingent Workforce Management

You hear a lot these days about how contingent workforce management is maturing, growing and becoming recognized as a legitimate C-suite strategy to leverage people and profits for company success. So let’s talk about how you as an individual are uniquely qualified and part of what I affectionately call … the Practice.

Yes, we are now at a point in our industry where we have a group of experienced individuals with a depth of expertise, who are definitive experts in contingent workforce management. Whether their experience is from a procurement, HR, staffing, MSP, VMS or other discipline, the Practice is in force and growing.

Our industry now demands a range of skills, such as workforce planning, technological prowess, modeling and consumer behavior, marketing, communications and much more. At the request of buyers and staffing companies, we are now in the process of producing a contingent workforce program management certification program to our industry. This program will enable standardization of what constitutes best practices in the contingent workforce arena across all areas of the Practice. The certified contingent workforce professional (CCWP) program will increase individual expertise, program management skills, RFP success and create a peer group of practitioners with like credentialing.
