Firms name new execs

Hospitality Staffing Solutions LLC appointed a new CEO, and both Command Center Inc. (OTCQB: CCNI) and Chartwell Staffing Solutions recently named new CFOs. Chartwell also added a chief learning officer to its executive suite.

Hospitality Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider for the hospitality industry, appointed Timothy McPherson as CEO, effective in August. McPherson since 2009 served as president and COO of Nesco Resource, an Ohio-based engineering and industrial staffing provider. Prior to Nesco, he had a 20-year career with Adecco Employment Services/TAD Resources International. McPherson has appeared on The Staffing 100 list of most influential people in the staffing industry. He replaces Rick Holliday, who joined HSS in 2007 and helped rebuild the company following its recapitalization in January 2014, when the company sold its assets to HS Solutions Corp., an entity formed by a group of investors. HSS had filed for Chapter 11 to facilitate the asset sale.

Industrial staffing provider Command Center appointed Colette Pieper to chief financial officer, effective Sept. 2. She replaces Jeff Wilson, who left the firm when his tenure as CFO ended on Sept. 1 with the expiration of his employment contract. Wilson had taken on the CFO role at the Coeur D’Alene, Idaho-based firm in 2014. He was also a board member from to 2010 to 2015, when he stepped down from the board to allow the company to elect an independent director. Pieper has 36 years of financial accounting, treasury management, tax compliance and financial management experience, including 13 years of public accounting and 23 years of financial leadership for both public and private companies.

Chartwell, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., named Todd Oken as its CFO, effective July 5. He replaced Dawn Gamble, who joined Chartwell last year in the role but is no longer with the firm. Oken most recently served as division CFO/VP finance for engineering and IT staffing provider CDI Corp.’s (NYSE: CDI) talent and technology solutions business.

Chartwell also promoted Dale Fallon to chief learning officer from senior VP of learning and development, effective July 15. The position is a new role within the firm. Fallon’s responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to build Chartwell’s Corporate University, integrating Chartwell’s communication strategies across departments, and designing and implementing leadership and executive programs. Chartwell counts 41 offices in 13 states and ranks No. 25 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest industrial staffing firms in the US.
