IT training platform provider Pluralsight acquired for $3.5 billion

Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners will acquire IT training platform firm Pluralsight for $3.5 billion in a deal that is set to close in the first half of 2021.

Pluralsight is based in Utah and has more than 1,700 employees. Its two products are Pluralsight Skills and Pluralsight Flow; they are used by more than 17,000 customers.

“Through this partnership with Vista, we will be able to move faster and be more agile, accelerate our strategic vision and, ultimately, deliver deeper, more powerful solutions that help companies adapt and thrive in the digital age,” said Aaron Skonnard, co-founder and CEO of Pluralsight.

Monti Saroya, co-head of the Vista Flagship Fund and senior managing director at Vista, said Pluralsight enables business leaders to improve productivity and provide career paths for their IT workforces.
