Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASDAQ: CCRN), a Boca Raton, Florida-based healthcare staffing provider, acquired Hireup Leadership Inc., an executive search firm based in Santa Barbara, California.

Founded in 2002, Hireup Leadership partners with organizations, including hospitals, academic medical centers and clinics to recruit healthcare leaders within nursing, allied, physician, human resources and finance.

“The addition of Hireup Leadership to the Cross Country portfolio continues to strengthen our position in the talent management landscape,” Cross Country Healthcare President and CEO John Martins said.

“Their deep expertise in leadership staffing and strong relationships supports and expands our robust network and enhances our ability to solve complex workforce challenges many organizations are facing in today’s corporate healthcare environment.”

The move follows Cross Country Healthcare’s acquisition of locum tenens providers Mint Medical Physician Staffing LP and Lotus Medical Staffing LLC in September.

Founded in 1986, Cross Country Healthcare is listed as the sixth-largest healthcare staffing firm in the US by SIA.
