Healthcare jobs website Incredible Health announced a $15 million series A funding round. Incredible Health uses algorithm-based technology to match the needs of hospitals with nurses for permanent jobs.

The San Francisco-based company aims to have hospitals apply to nurses instead of waiting for the nurses to apply in an effort to increase time to hire. It’s also focused on permanent placement of nurses, not temporary or travel nurses.

“As a trained physician with many friends and family in the medical field, I know first-hand the inefficiencies of traditional hospital hiring practices,” said founder and CEO Iman Abuzeid, MD. “By automating the screening and custom matching process, we’re simplifying and dramatically shortening the time it takes hospitals to source and hire the talent they need for permanent roles.”

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from NFX, Obvious Ventures, Precursor Ventures and others. The round brings Incredible Health’s total funding to $17 million.
