HealthcareSource acquiring healthcare software platform

HealthcareSource struck a deal with GE Healthcare to acquire Centricity Contingent Staffing — a provider of software to healthcare staffing firms that was formerly API Healthcare’s Clearview Staffing Software.

Centricity Contingent Staffing software’s functionality ranges from onboarding and competency validation of healthcare professionals to payroll and billing processing of clients. HealthcareSource is acquiring the business from current owner GE Healthcare, which bought the operations in 2014.

Once the deal closes, the business will rebrand as HealthcareSource Contingent Talent Management. In addition, Mike Wejrowski will return to the organization to resume his role as VP and general manager for this product suite.

“With this acquisition, we will be able to provide solutions across the full talent spectrum within healthcare, addressing the needs of both direct healthcare employers and staffing organizations in attracting, sourcing, placing, developing, and continuously retaining highly engaged people,” said HealthcareSource President and CEO J.P. Fingado.

The deal is anticipated to close in the first quarter of 2017. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to HealthcareSource, the combined company will have more than 3,300 healthcare clients, serving more than half of the registered hospitals in the US. Through its various platforms, HealthcareSource will process $1.8 billion in contingent staffing billings annually.
