People: Delta CEO; Cross Country recruitment exec; Fastaff LLC and U.S. Nursing Corp; Shiftwise president

Several healthcare staffing providers added members to their executive teams this month. Firms include The Delta Companies, Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASD: CCRN), Fastaff LLC and U.S. Nursing Corp., and VMS provider ShiftWise.

The Delta Companies

The Delta Companies promoted Bill Tracewell to CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2017. He succeeds founder Jeff Bowling, who will remain active within the organization and hold a position on the board of directors. The company is the eighth-largest US provider of locum tenens staffing. Bowling launched Delta in 1997, and he was included in The Staffing 100 list of the most influential people in the industry in 2014. Investment firm Mitsui & Co. Ltd. acquired Delta in 2014. Tracewell has served as chief operating officer after having been promoted to that role last February. He previously served as executive VP of Delta Healthcare Providers and Delta Physician Placement, the Dallas-based company’s travel therapy and permanent placement businesses.

Cross Country Healthcare

Cross Country Healthcare, the third-largest US healthcare staffing firm, added Buffy Stultz White as senior VP, recruiting strategy and operations, effective Sept. 30. She reports directly to President and CEO William Grubbs. In the newly created role, White will oversee and manage the entire recruitment process and be responsible for driving candidate flow and operational efficiencies, working closely with the business unit presidents. White most recently was executive VP, global services and solutions consulting, at Pontoon, the global HR outsourcing brand for Adecco Group.

Fastaff LLC and U.S. Nursing Corp.

Healthcare staffing providers Fastaff LLC and U.S. Nursing Corp. named Jason Godley as CFO. Fastaff provides travel nurse staffing while U.S. Nursing provides staffing during labor disputes. Godley has nearly two decades of financial leadership spanning public accounting, investment banking and as a CFO working with high-growth, private equity backed companies. Former Randstad Professionals Senior VP Avi Khilnani also joined the two companies this summer as executive VP to lead business development efforts.

ShiftWise

ShiftWise, a vendor management system provider for the healthcare industry, named Steven Rodriguez as president, effective Sept. 19. He replaces Jason Drucker, who is no longer with the company. AMN Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the largest US healthcare staffing firm, acquired Portland, Ore.-based Shiftwise in 2013. Rodriguez most recently was COO at Asure Software, a workforce technology company. Before joining Asure Software, he served as a principal for HCS, a consulting company that he founded. Rodriguez also held executive leadership roles at Perquest, Ceridian, Epicor and ADP.
